Leora Mariana Levy (1957-) was a Cuban-American businesswoman and Republican politician who ran for the US Senate in Connecticut in 2022.
Biography[]
Leora Mariana Rosenberg was born in Cuba in 1957, the daughter of a Lithuanian-Jewish refugee mother, and she emigrated to the United States to escape Fidel Castro's communist regime. She worked as a commodity trader before becoming involved in Republican politics, and, while she supported Jeb Bush during the 2016 presidential election and initially disparaged Donald Trump, she later applauded Trump's leadership. In 2021, she was unsuccessfully nominated for Ambassador to Chile, and, in 2022, she ran for the US Senate.
