Leopold Bacchus (died 1868) was a member of the Blighters gang.
Biography[]
Leopold Bacchus was affiliated with the Blighters, and he became known as an infamous jewel thief. However, he was captured by the Metropolitan Police Service after a failed heist in the 1860s; Bacchus managed to escape from prison in 1868 and live in the sewers of Lambeth. Rooks gang leader Jacob Frye tracked him down to the sewers and began chasing him, but Bacchus was eventually stuck in a wooden brace used to keep the mounds up at the entrance to his sewer tunnel hideaway. Unable to kidnap Bacchus, Frye was forced to shoot him three times and deliver his body to the police for a bounty.
