Leone Biondolillo (died 1479) was a Florentine imposter who claimed to be a Guelph to marry the daughter of a man in San Gimignano. He was dropped off the Torre Grossa to send a message.
Biography[]
In a letter from a man named Ramondo to a man named Vicente, Raimondo revealed evidence that Leone claimed to be a Guelph but was really a Florentine, and he was engaged to marry Vicente's daughter. It was further proof that Florence sent liars and cheats to invade the Tuscan government, and in revenge for the deception, Vicente had Leone dropped off the Torre Grossa to deliver a message to Florence. Afterwards, Ramondo's son was married to Vicente's daughter. The letter detailing the proof was delivered by Ezio Auditore da Firenze.
