
Leonard Jarvis (19 October 1781-18 September 1854) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-ME 6) from 4 March 1829 to 3 March 1833 (succeeding Jeremiah O'Brien and preceding Joseph Hall) and from ME-7 from 4 March 1833 to 3 March 1837 (succeeding James Bates and preceding Joseph C. Noyes). Born in Boston, he lived in France for 16 years before settling in Surry, Maine. He served as sheriff of Hancock County from 1821 to 1829, as a customs collector, in Congress, and as a US Navy agent for the port of Boston from 1838 to 1841.
