Leo Docherty (born 1976) was the Conservative Party MP for Aldershot from 8 June 2017 to 30 May 2024, succeeding Gerald Howarth and preceding Alex Baker.
Biography[]
Leo Docherty was born in 1976, and he served as a Captain in the British Army's Scots Guards from 2001, fighting in the Afghanistan War and the Iraq War after graduating from Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. After leaving the army, he became a local councillor and Director of the Conservative Middle East Council. In 2017, he was elected to Parliament as the MP for Aldershot, but he lost re-election in 2024.
