Lemuel Benton (1754-18 May 1818) was a member of the US House of Representatives (DR-SC 3) from 4 March 1793 to 3 March 1799, succeeding Daniel Huger and preceding Benjamin Huger.
Biography[]
Lemuel Benton was born in Granville County, North Carolina in 1754, and he later settled in Darlington County, South Carolina. He served in the US House of Representatives from 1793 to 1799, and he died in 1818.
