Legio I Africana

Legio I Africana was a legion of the Roman Army which was raised by Marcus Aemilius Lepidus the Younger in Carthage in 41 BC. The legion was loyal to Marcus Aemilius Lepidus during the civil wars of the Second Triumvirate.
