The Legio IV Minervia was a Roman legion founded in 264 BC by Servius Tanicius Culleo in Cosentia, southern Italy. The legion's role was to protect the south from Etruscans from Corsica or from Rome's enemies on the water (i.e. Greek Cities), but they saw no active combat for years. It was revived in 220 BC in Alalia, Corsica by Quintus Fabius during the Second Punic War.
