
The Leeward Islands are a group of islands in the Caribbean Sea, referring to the northern islands of the Lesser Antilles chain. The islands start east of Puerto Rico and reach southward to Dominica, and they include the Virgin Islands, Anguilla, Sint Maarten, Saint Martin, Saint-Barthelemy, Saba, Sint Eustatius, Saint Kitts, Nevis, Barbuda, Antigua, Redonda, Montserrat, Guadeloupe, La Desirade, Iles des Saintes, Marie-Galante, and Dominica.
