Lee Patrick Strobel (25 January 1952-) was an American Christian author and former investigative journalist.
Biography[]
Lee Patrick Strobel was born in Arlington Heights, Illinois in 1952, and he worked as an investigative journalist for the Chicago Tribune and other newspapers for 14 years. He was an atheist until his newly-evangelical wife's conversion persuaded him to investigate the Bible's claims about Jesus, after which he became an evangelical Protestant. Strobel worked as a teaching pastor of the Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, Illinois from 1987 to 2000, but he then shifted to writing and producing his TV show, Faith Under Fire. He also ran a video apologetics website and wrote several books, including The Case for Christ.
