The League of German Girls was the girls' wing of the Hitler Youth, the youth organization of the German Nazi Party, from 1930 to 1945. Girls from ages 10 to 21 were allowed into the league, and the league indoctrinated young women with fascist ideals. The league also trained them in homemaking, being a wife, motherhood, and in physical exercise (including gymnastics, sports, and even fencing), and some League of German Girls members joined the Volkssturm in 1945 at the end of World War II.
