Lars Jorgensen was a Swedish immigrant who settled in West Texas during the Wild West era. He had two children, Brad and Laurie Jorgensen, and he farmed cattle on the Texas frontier for many years. In 1868, he joined Reverend Samuel Johnston Clayton's posse of Texas Rangers to search for the Comanches who rustled his cattle, but his son would be killed in the ensuing struggle with Chief Scar. Jorgensen blamed America for the death of his son, and he did not participate in the Battle of Seven Fingers in 1873.
