Larry Collins

Larry Collins (born 1966) was a Captain in the US Marine Corps.

Biography[]

Larry Collins was born in 1966 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Collins enlisted in the US Marine Corps in 1984, and he saw his first combat in 1989 in Operation Just Cause in Panama. In 1991, he saw more combat in the Gulf War, where he earned the Bronze Star for bravery in combat. Collins was promoted to Sergeant during the conflict, and during the Iraq War, he earned the ranks of Lieutenant in 2004 and then Captain in 2007. Collins commanded the US Marines that took part in Operation Bangor in 2007, defeating the Iraqi insurgents.
