Lara Lee Candie-Fitzwilly (1811-6 May 1859) was an American socialite from Mississippi who was the sister of Candyland plantation owner Calvin J. Candie. She was widowed during the 1850s, and she was rumored to have an incestuous relationship with her younger brother, who was incredibly fond of her. In 1859, after her brother's death, she intended to sell one of her murderers, Django Freeman, into slavery with a mining company, only for Django to escape, ambush, and kill her as she returned to Candyland from her brother's funeral.
