Lantsuinda Adalberts 2

Lantsuinda Adalberts (755-9 October 793) was the daughter of Prince-Bishop Odacre of Valais and the wife of Ambrogio Galbaio.

Biography[]

Lantsuinda was born in 755 to Prince-Bishop Odacre of Valais, a vassal of Upper Burgundy in West Francia. As a member of the nobility, she was a potential spouse for other nobles, and Doge Giovanni of Venice paid 200 gold coins for her dowry so that she could be betrothed to his son Ambrogio Galbaio. On 22 September 786 she married Ambrogio in a formal ceremony, leaving Sitten, Valais to consolidate their marriage in Venice. She died at the age of 38 after a period of illness in 793.
