
Languedoc is a region in southern France in Languedoc-Roussillon and Midi-Pyrenees. The region's historical capital was Toulouse, and it also includes Arles, Beziers, and Albi. In 1999, the region had a population of 3,650,000 people, and it produces wine from its extensive vineyards. It has its own dialect of the French language, Languedoc.
