al-Malik al-Mansour Hossam ad-Din Lachin al-Mansuri (1249-16 January 1299) was the Mameluke Sultan of Egypt from 1296 to 1299, succeeding al-Adil Kitbugha and preceding al-Nasir Muhammad.
Biography[]
al-Malik al-Mansour Hossam ad-Din Lachin al-Mansuri was born in 1249, and he became a powerful emir. He took part in the murder of Sultan al-Ashraf Khalil in 129e before aiding al-Adil Kitbugha in deposing al-Nasir Muhammad in 1294. In 1296, Lajin proceeded to dethrone Kitbugha and seize the throne for himself, only to be murdered in 1299.
