A laborer is a person who provides unskilled manual labor, especially construction services, road paving, shoveling snow, digging graves, chain gangs, picking up leaves, and mining. Most laborers have historically earned living wages, being paid a small amount money for hard work, and disappointment with low wages for hard labor led to the growth of socialism and communism in the 19th and 20th centuries, as well as the rise of unions.
