Lâm Quang Thi

Lâm Quang Thi (7 May 1932-19 January 2021) was a Lieutenant-General in the ARVN during the Vietnam War.

Biography[]

Lâm Quang Thi was born in Bac Lieu, French Indochina in 1932 to a family of wealthy landowning farmers of partial Chinese ancestry. He was raised by his Catholic mother after his parents separated in 1937, and he graduated from the National Military Academy before rising to the rank of Lieutenant-General in the ARVN during the Vietnam War. In May 1975, he fled with his family to the United States when the war ended, and he settled in Fremont, California. He died in 2021 at the age of 88.
