
Kuno-Hans von Both (9 April 1884 – 22 May 1955) was a General der Infanterie of the German Wehrmacht during World War II.
Biography[]
Kuno-Hans von Both was born in Zabern, Elsass-Lothringen, German Empire (now Saverne, Alsace-Lorraine, France) on 9 April 1884. He served as an Imperial German Army officer during World War I, and the rose in the ranks of the Reichswehr and Wehrmacht during the Interwar period. In 1939, he commanded the German 21st Infantry Division during the invasion of Poland, and he then took command of the I Armeekorps for the Battle of France and the war with the Soviet Union. In April 1944, he was given command of the German forces in eastern Hungary, and he commanded the rear of Army Group South Ukraine and Army Group South from September 1944 to April 1945. He was interned from May 1945 to April 1947, and he died in Habichtswald, West Germany in 1955.
