Kunkurra (born 1818) was an Aboriginal Australian butler in the service of the Marston Waters ranch owner Elliott Marston during the late 19th century. Kunkurra was assimilated into European culture, wearing English clothing while serving as Marston's servant. He was incredibly loyal to his employer, knocking the American hired gun Matthew Quigley unconscious after Quigley threw Marston out of his own home for attempting to hire him to commit genocide against the Aborigines. However, after Quigley later killed Marston and the last of his guards to settle their vendetta, Kunkurra gave Quigley back his customized rifle, stripped off his European clothing, and walked off to rejoin his fellow Aborigines in the Outback.
