Kozel of Saur (900-) was Chief of Saur from 936. He was once paramout chief of the Kirghiz people as their Khan, but, on 19 September 937, the Liang Liao king Liang Yong usurped the title of "Khan of Mongolia", leading to the Kirghiz khanate breaking up into a patchwork of small and independent chiefdoms, with Kozel becoming just one of many competing chiefs.
