The Kong Incident occurred between the 24 and 25th of December 1933 in New York City.
Background[]
In 1933, American film director Carl Denham made a journey to a mysterious island in the Indian Ocean known as Skull Island. There part of the crew was killed by all type of creatures who lived there.
Denham returned to New York with one of the creatures captured. This creature was supposedly a giant ape known as King Kong. This creature was about 7 feet tall and 6 tones of weight.
The incident[]
The night of Christamas Eve of 1933, Denham was at the theatre of Broadway. During the show, one of the chains who Kong had broke up and the creature escaped causing panic in Times Square. A few people died on car accidents caused by Kong's huge size.
Then, American writer Jack Driscoll borrowed a cab and he drove away from Times Square being chased by the huge animal until he managed to destroy de cab and knocked out Driscoll in the process.

After that the US Army and the New York Police Department chased the animal to the Empire State Building, where he supposedly climbed to the top of the tallest building of all New York and there it was killed by the Biplanes of the US navy. Kong fell off the Empire State to his death.
New Yorkers and tourist tried to take photos of the animal but many of them were arrested. Then Carl Denham arrived and he saw what his ambition caused leaving the area before being recognized and very affected by all the destruction he caused.
The FBI arrived with more police officers and soldiers and they carried the body in a truck trailer. It's unknow what happened to the body.
The Following day, newspapers told that the city was attacked by an Elephant and it was killed by the army near the Empire State.
