Komsomol

The All-Union Leninist Young Communist League, better known by its Russian acronym Komsomol, was the youth division of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, existing from 29 October 1918 to September 1991. Run by an urban administration and filled with rural members, the Komsomol had a diverse array of economic backgrounds among its members, and members could be anywhere between 14 and 28 years of age. The Komsomol group dissolved in September 1991 after the fall of the Soviet Union.
