Kokcu Mevlana (1670-17) was Vizier for the Army from 1700 until his 1703, serving under the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire, Mustafa II of Turkey.
Biography[]
Kokcu Mevlana was born in the Ottoman Empire, and was raised in the city of Konstantiniyye (Istanbul) in the Bayezid District. Mevlana became involved with politics and was appointed as Vizier for the Army in 1700. However, he possessed no great command qualities and in 1703 was replaced by Kasim Muteferrika.
