Koichi Takeshita (died 1963) was a Japanese Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department detective.
Biography[]
Koichi Takeshita was born in Tokyo, Japan. He joined the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department and became a detective, partnering with Joji Mizuno. Takeshita married Kumiko, who was secretly Nomoto Enterprises boss Tetsuo Nomoto's sixth mistress and the head of his yakuza family's prostitution ring, and married Takeshita to keep an eye on the movements of the police from the inside. While Mizuno was in prison for embezzlement, Takeshita investigated Nomoto Enterprises' prostitution ring. When Takeshita discovered the truth behind it, and was preparing to expose his wife and Nomoto's crimes, his wife murdered both him and a call girl and made it appear as if the two died in a "lovers' suicide". Mizuno, upon his release from prison, infiltrated Nomoto Enterprises and ultimately discovered Mizuko's guilt, later leaving her to be killed by Hideo Nomoto for insulting the Nomoto brothers' mother.
