Kiumars Heidari was the Vice-Commander of the Artesh army of Iran.
Biography[]
Kiumars Heidari was born in Iran to a Shia Muslim family, and he served in the Iran-Iraq War. Heidari rose to become the vice-commander of Iran's army, the Artesh, and on 14 April 2014 he visited the Iranian 65th Special Forces the night before their departure for Syria to fight alongside the Syrian Arab Army in the Syrian Civil War.
