The Kissufim massacre was a massacre of Israeli citizens carried out by Palestinian Hamas terrorists at the southern Israeli town of Kissufim during the "Operation Al-Aqsa Flood" surprise offensive of October 2023. Dozens of Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades militants entered the dairy, poultry, citrus, and avocado farming settlement of Kissufim and massacred at least eight kibbutz members and 6 thai workers before kidnapping four kibbutz members and destroying the kibbutz buildings. Days later, the dairy farm manager was allowed by IDF to return to the kibbutz to feed the cows, only to be murdered by a hiding militant. A platoon from the Golani Brigade moved in to rescue trapped kibbutz residents and clear out the militants; 8 soldiers were killed in the battle.
