Libya

The Kingdom of Libya was an Ancient World nation located in northern Africa, bordering Garamantia to the south, Masaesyli to the southwest, Carthage to the northwest, Nasamones to the southeast, and Kingdom of Cyrenaica to the northwest. Its major cities were at Thapsus, Macomades, and Lepcis. The kingdom was a mix of Numidian and Phoenecian cultures, with Numidian mercenaries often fighting for Carthage, plucked out of its client state of Libya. The Kingdom of Egypt often campaigned west against the Libyans and Cyrenaicans in the 1000s BC, but never conquered Libya. Instead, the Roman Republic's House of Scipii invaded Libya during the Second Punic War. Lucius Caesetius Faustus conquered Libya in 109 BC during the Zaakariyan War.
