The Kingdom of Eire was a kingdom that existed in Middle Ages-era Ireland from 20 September 1090, when King Einri of Ulaidh consolidated his domains in Ireland into one kingdom. Throughout 1090, the crusader hero Einri offered to protect smaller nobles in exchange for their vassalization, and he peacefully gained control over Ossory, County Kildare, County Dublin, Breifne, and Leinster through these negotiations. Eire was ruled by the Clan O'Connor of Tyrconnell, which would become one of the first major dynasties to rule Ireland; however, Eire did not control the whole island at first, having to face Connacht, the Norse kings of the south, and Desmond in the far south.
