The Kingdom of Bijapur (1686-1700) was one of the Maratha kingdoms. Separating from the Mughal Empire's Bijapur Subah (province) during Shivaji Maharaj's campaigns of independence, it was a separate entity until it united with the other Maratha kingdoms in 1700 during the Deccan Wars to face their oppressors. Its capital was Satara.
