Khin Aung Myint (1945-) was Speaker of the House of Nationalities of Burma from 31 January 2011 to 29 January 2016, preceding Mahn Win Khaing Than.
Biography[]
Khin Aung Myint was born in 1945, and he became a Major-General in the Tatmadaw of Burma, and in 2006 he became Minister of Culture, remaining in that post until 2011, when he became Speaker of the House of Nationalities. Myint was the military's candidate for President of Burma in 2016 against the National League for Democracy candidate Htin Kyaw.
