Khalid Middat (died 2015) was a Pakistani eatery owner and RAW contact who lived in the Mohalla Johar district of Lahore during the 2010s. In 2015, he was put in contact with the RAW agents Daniyal Khan and Nawaz Mistry by RAW director Sabyasachi Roy during Operation Phantom, and Middat helped them research the Lashkar-e-Taiba leaders Haaris Saeed and Sahabuddin Umavi, their two targets in Pakistan. Middat put them in touch with the nurse Amina Bi, whom Mistry recruited to assassinate Umavi to avenge the manipulation and death of her suicide bomber son, Arshad Bi, while he helped Saeed with his assassination attempt on Saeed by giving his employee Shehzad Gulati ₹300,000 to hold his wedding the night before Khan planned to kill Saeed with a rigged microphone rented from Rasheed Tent Service owner Zubaid Rasheed, supposedly for the wedding. Khalid helped the two RAW agents escape Lahore after their targets were killed, but the ISI interrogated Rasheed and Gulati and discovered Middat's license plate, allowing for them to halt the car at a checkpoint near Karachi that night. The Pakistani security guards traded fire with the RAW agents before being wounded and forced into their hut, where the RAW agents shot up their phone, but, upon returning to their car, Khan and Mistry found that Middat had been shot in the neck and killed during the brief shootout, forcing them to make it to Karachi on their own.
