Khalid Mahmood (born 13 July 1961) was the Labour Party MP for Birmingham Perry Barr from 7 June 2001 to 30 May 2024, succeeding Jeff Rooker and preceding Ayoub Khan.
Biography[]
Khalid Mahmood was born in Azad Kashmir, Pakistan on 13 July 1961, and he later emigrated to the United Kingdom and became an engineer and a trade unionist. He served on the Birmingham City Council from 1990 to 1992 and was elected MP for Perry Barr in 2001. He lost re-election to independent candidate Ayoub Khan in 2024.
