Khael of Makuria (750-813) was the king of Makuria from 768 to 813, succeeding Kyriakos of Makuria and preceding Iohannes of Makuria.
Biography[]
Khael was born in 750 to the Miaphysite Christian Nubian House of Azim, and he became the king of Makuria in 768 after the death of his father Kyriakos of Makuria. He reigned until his death in 813 at the age of 63, and his son Iohannes of Makuria succeeded him.
