Kenny Wong

Kenny Wong (1969-) was a Chinese-American gangster who was affiliated with the Ghost Shadows gang. Raised in New York City's Chinatown, he moved to Brooklyn with his family to avoid gang violence, only for his father, a member of the Ghost Shadows, to be killed in a drive-by in the early 1980s. Wong joined the gang himself, but he was later arrested and charged with racketeering in the early 1990s; he went on to serve eight years in prison. By 2001, he was free in Brooklyn, and he worked in construction before teaming up with his friend Michael Moy to document the history of New York's Triads during the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s.
