
Kenny Marchant (23 February 1951-) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-TX 24) from 3 January 2005 to 3 January 2021, succeeding Martin Frost and preceding Beth Van Duyne.
Biography[]
Kenny Marchant was born in Bonham, Texas in 1951, and he worked as a real estate developer and owned a home-building company prior to serving in the State House of Representatives from 1987 to 2005 and in the US Congress from 2005. He was a member of the Republican Party, and he occasionally broke with his party's ranks, such as when he endorsed a greater minimum wage. He retired in 2020.
