Kenneth Norris

Kenneth Norris was one of three American judges to preside over the trials of ex-Nazi judges Ernst Janning, Emil Hahn, Werner Lampe, and Friedrich Hofstetter at Nuremberg in 1948. Norris lost his son during World War II; his son had fought with the US 101st Airborne Division at the Battle of the Bulge, where he was killed in action, and buried at the American cemetery at Liege. Norris sided with Chief Judge Dan Haywood in convicting the four Nazis, while Judge Curtiss Ives dissented.
