Keiji Mutoh

Keiji Mutoh (23 December 1962-) was a Japanese professional wrestler and CEO of Mutoh Realty.

Biography[]

Keiji Mutoh was born in Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan in 1962, and he and Masahiro Chono made their professional wrestling debuts in 1984, competing in both the United States (including Puerto Rico) and Japan. From the 1980s to 1990s, he was known as "The Great Muta", and he acquired a reputation as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. As a side business, he became CEO of Mutoh Realty, while his old friend Chono became the leader of the "color gangs" of Kabukicho, Tokyo. In 2006, he and Chono attempted to muscle in on Goro Majima's Kabukicho Hills construction project, but, after losing a battle against Majima and Kazuma Kiryu, Mutoh sought the help of the "Three Musketeers" (Riki Choshu, Genichiro Tenryu, and Tatsumi Fujinami), three land sharks who were also former professional wrestlers. After several failed attempts to take over Kabukicho Hills, Mutoh was betrayed by his secretary Tsurukawa, and he eventually decided to join Majima Construction.
