Kazahori IV

Kazahori IV (1941-) was a Japanese master tattoo artist who lived in Osaka during the 2000s.

Biography[]

Kazahori was born in Osaka, Japan in 1941, and he came from a long line of distinguished tattoo artists from the Kansai region. At some point, he assumed the name "Kazahori IV" and became a master tattoo artist. During the 1990s, he inked Ryuji Goda's dragon tattoo with the aid of his pupil Akina, whom he favored as his successor over the older Katsuhiko Satoshi, resulting in a succession dispute during the 2000s. On 20 December 2006, Kazahori met Kazuma Kiryu as he was about to throw away his dragon tattoo design in tthe Dotonbori canal, and, after Kiryu learned about the dispute between Akina and Satoshi, Kiryu helped resolve the succession dispute and persuade Akina to accept the mantle of becoming "Kazahori V" on Kazahori IV's retirement.
