Kay Granger

Kay Granger (18 January 1943-) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-TX 12) from 3 January 1997 to 3 January 2025, succeeding Pete Geren and preceding Craig Goldman.

Biography[]

Kay Granger was born in Greenville, Texas in 1943, and she worked as a high school English teacher before establishing her own insurance company and joining the Fort Worth Zoning Commission. She served as Mayor of Fort Worth from 1991 to 1995, and she was elected to the US House of Representatives in 1996 as a Republican Party member. She held staunchly conservative views.
