Katy Tang was a member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors from District 4 from 27 February 2013, succeeding Carmen Chu.
Biography[]
Katy Tang was born in New York in 1983 to Taiwanese immigrant parents, and she grew up in San Francisco, California. She worked as District 4 Supervisor Carmen Chu's legal supervisor for five years, and she was appointed to succeed Chu on the Board of Supervisors in 2013. Tang supported housing opportunities for middle-income families, supported lactation support for new mothers returning to work, supported the provision of shelter to domestic violence victims, supported animal rights, and supported small businesses.
