Karen Jones (1874 - 1907) was an American outlaw of the Wild West who was associated with the Van der Linde Gang.
Biography[]
Karen Jones was said to be the consummate scam artist and trigger woman, and she was known to drink heavily and enjoy the outlaw lifestyle. She joined the Van der Linde Gang and assisted in the robbery of a bank in Tucson, Arizona while dressed as a nun and hiding firearms under her clothes. Jones later fell in love with Sean MacGuire, having a love-hate relationship due to their drinking. After Sean was killed in an ambush by the Gray family in Louisiana in 1899, Jones became an embittered alcoholic and eventually left the gang; by 1907, she had drank herself to death.
