Kanagatucko (died 1706) was an Inuit war chief.
Biography[]
Born in Agvituk, Montagnais, Kanagatucko was of the Inuit Labrador tribe. Kanagatucko was influential in deciding to declare war on the Kingdom of France in 1703, and he crossed from Labrador to Newfoundland in 1706. The Inuit attempted to take the capital of Plaissance, and nearly won due to numbers, but a French flanking movement on the right defeated them. Kanagatucko was killed in melee with French militiamen.
