Kan Ogita (died December 2012) was a Japanese dance instructor who was based in Osaka. In 2012, he murdered his former boss Mirei Park on the orders of his creditor Kamon Kanai, only for Kanai to murder him to cover up his involvement.
Biography[]
Kan Ogita was born in Osaka, Japan, and he became known as a skilled dancer during the 1980s. Ogita once met Kazuma Kiryu while dancing at Kabukicho's Maharaja disco in 1989. After Kiryu defeated Ogita in a dance battle, Ogita returned to Osaka in the hopes of becoming a dance coach.

Kanai fighting with Park
In 2012, he was hired by Dyna Chair president Mirei Park to train the young idol Haruka Sawamura in dancing ahead of the Princess League competition. The arrogant and strict Ogita encouraged Haruka to quit after a subpar lesson, but she remained persistent in her desire to make it into the Princess League. Ogita later expressed his concerns of how quickly he needed to train Haruka to compete with the other idols, but Park brushed him off. After Haruka passed the first round of the Princess League, she fired Ogita because he complained too much and stood up to her. On realizing that he was tricked into a contract that allowed Park to deny him payment, Ogita shoved Park to the ground, injuring her right wrist, and left the premises. Shortly after, he was contacted by the yakuza Kamon Kanai, who offered to forgive Ogita's deep debts if he would steal the letter that Goro Majima had sent to Park. Ogita infiltrated Park's office to search for the letter, only for Park to confront him. In a fit of rage, Ogita repeatedly banged her head on the floor and accidentally killed her. He and Kanai covered up the murder to look like a suicide, with Kanai throwing Park's body from the roof and Ogita forging a false letter in Park's handwriting.

An armless Ogita
Ogita once again attempted to find the letter, interrogating Hiroshi Horie and throwing him off the roof, though Horie survived. Haruka and Shun Akiyama caught Ogita trying to flee, and Akiyama beat him up before Kanai came to Ogita's rescue and helped him escape. However, Kanai punished Ogita for his failure by amputating his right arm and leaving him to die at a warehouse. Akiyama later found Ogita while tracking down Kanai, and Ogita promised to confess to the murder if Akiyama helped him escape. Akiyama reluctantly agreed to create a distraction for Ogita, but Ogita was recaptured and thrown into a waste compactor, which crushed him to death.
