Kamal El-Sayegh was an Egyptian-American Sunni Muslim imam who preached in New Jersey during the 2000s and 2010s. He initially served as imam of Masjid al-Salam in Jersey City (Omar Abdel-Rahman's former mosque), expressing his worry about Islamophobic reprisals following 9/11 and later voicing his concern about possible extremist retaliation for the improper laying to rest of Osama Bin Laden's body in 2011. He later became imam of Masjid al-Taqwa in Atlantic City.
