The Kajiwara clan was a feudal clan of the Heian period of Japan. Peaceful but with questionable integrity, the Kajiwara had a long-lasting friendship with the Kamakura Minamoto clan. Despite this, they were aligned with the Taira during the Genpei War. In 1180 they were conquered by the Kiso Minamoto.
