Kaitlin Lau was a Metropolitan Police Service inspector during the 2020s. In 2020, she investigated the TOAN bombing and deduced that Clan Kelley and the Albion private military contractor had teamed up on some deal related to human trafficking. She also criticized Albion's ability to detain random people off the street, as Albion would call them illegal immigrants, potential DedSec insurgents, or other kinds of malcontents and send them to the European Processing Centre fro detention. She decided to initiate 24/7 surveillance on Clan Kelley boss Mary Kelley, while acknowledging that she might be murdered if she was caught. She was captured by Clan Kelley and held in the basement of the Southwark Incinerator, but she was rescued by DedSec operative Joeri Martens; she used a scalpel to stab a surgeon dead before he could cut out her organs, and she then met Martens (who was terrified at the sight of several nearby dead bodies). She then agreed to work with Martens to help them take down Kelley.
