The Ka-do Temple was a Taoist monastery constructed on the island of Ka-do in present-day North Korea by the Liao dynasty.
History[]
The Ka-do Temple was devoted to Taoism, and it was built on the northern edges of Ka-do next to a grove of pine trees. In addition, a university was built by the Liao dynasty next to the temple. The temple and university both helped the public, as the temple recruited monks to help in education and provided prayer services, while the university helped with studying new technologies.
