K.B. Mshelia

K.B. Mshelia was a Nigerian captain who served as a supply officer in the 103rd Battalion in Konduga, Borno State during the Boko Haram insurgency. He was originally from Shafa, but his family was displaced to Maiduguri due to Boko Haram attacks. In 2015, Mshelia and the rest of the 103rd Battalion were stationed at Konduga to defend the approaches to Maiduguri, telling Vice News journalist Kay Larsen that he and his men were ready to die defending their trenches and their families, and that they had killed a total of 1,000 Boko Haram fighters in different attacks.
